A recent study showed that Biofeedback and Pelvic floor Muscle are Effective Intervention to:
- Increase the strength of the pelvic floor muscles;
- Reduce the level of genital organ prolapse; and
- Improve the severity of the symptoms of the genital prolapse.
In the study, 40 patients with either stage 1 or 2 was randomized into 2 equal groups
While the Experimental Group Received a Biofeedback Treatment Program
For a span of 12 Weeks, the Control Group Received Pelvic Floor Exercises
ALL PATIENTS IN BOTH GROUPS HAD BEEN EVALUATED PRE- AND POST- TREATMENT BY MEASURING THE STRENGTH OF THEIR PELVIC FLOOR MUSCLES THROUGH A PERINEOMETER NEEN PERITONAL DEVICE
AND FOUND OUT THAT THERE WAS A SIGNIFICANT REDUCTION IN GENITAL PROLAPSE!
